Vision

Over the past two years, various individuals and businesses have contributed to developing some initial ideas for the future of Coalville.

In twenty years time, what will Coalville be like? We know that many residents and businesses feel it needs to change and offer more – from shops, leisure opportunities, town centre living to an improved environment.

In July 2008, ‘Imagining our Future’ was published. It contained a range of ideas, some more imaginative than others. Although people had different views on the ideas suggested, there was a general consensus of opinion that Coalville could be much better than it is and there were plenty of opportunities to re-shape the town for the 21st century.
